Wanted to give a mid-day update. I know Jill will update tonight as well. We went for our first visit back to Hogar Maria Bordoni yesterday. Marcelo wasn't sure how to fit back in. He played with his buddies and really enjoyed seeing them. Whenever we looked at him he wouldn't look at us. The sisters there showed us some videos of all the kids when they were little so we could pick out Marcelo when he was little. Very cute and fun to see him through the different ages. It was very difficult for him to leave, harder in fact than when we left the 1st time. Probably because he knew better what would happen. He was emotional the whole car ride home, but within minutes of being back in the house with us, he was great and slept great. He's probably like us, not sure what to do with his two lives and how they exactly go together. Jill's felt a little under the weather also, she had some excema start on her hand as we were coming down and her hand is now red and swollen. Last night she started with a little fever. I started her on some Amoxicillin I just happened to bring :) so we're hoping to see how it does by tomorrow. Scary not being at home with the comfort of our own doctors close. Please pray for her. She probably wouldn't have told so I am. This morning we left the house and came to Vilcabamba, a small touristy town in the mountains. A fun hour drive, cruising around curves, passing Trucks on curves, and of course no seatbelts...gotta love it. We're staying the next couple of days in a little resort, the pool needs to be cleaned, the jacuzzi is empty, but it's very quiet, cool, and a nice little rest. We also found out that today and tomorrow are holidays in Loja, so the paperwork doesn't go anywhere from until Wednesday. The waiting has been the hardest for sure. If things continue this route, we won't be home before Christmas or just I will be. I hate the thought of leaving Jill alone here, but we know enough people in each town that I feel better now than I did. We are still praying and hoping for the miracle. Please join with us. Love you all and miss you.

Hey guys, glad things continue to progress...Mom saw Dr. Paige today..good old sinus infection..between the heat and the extreme change in temperature it just plays havoc for Mom. She was talking to Dr. Paige and he was concerned with Jills hand. He asked us to send pictures as it make take more than Amoxicillin to clear up. He worries about it becoming worse and availability of medical care. I forwarded the pictures to him as he offered to give any counsel if you need it. He was genuinely worried about you guys. I also gave him your e-mail address Rich..so look for comments. Love ya's....Sarah wrote a story about this whole experience. Certainly tugged at the old heart strings. Love ya's
