Today is Sunday. We were so excited to go to church and join our friends back home in an united fast for dear friends. What a good feeling to walk into church and have greeted by an older couple serving a mission. They were so nice.
The branch is small but has doubled in the last 8 months. The primary has 11 kids there. The people were so nice. We had so many kind brothers and sisters come up to us and say "hola".
Rich was asked to say the opening prayer and has been invited to sing with the disrict in the Christmas devotional on the 19. He just can't escape. It feels good to be able to help out though.
I loved taking of the sacrament, singing Christmas songs in spanish, and hearing of the sweet testimonies. True, I didn't understand alot. I caught a little here and a little there, but the spirit was so strong. I left feeling spiritually strengthened.
I'm so grateful for the gospel aand for my savior, Jesus Christ. He is the source of my strength.
Jill

How fun and interesting to hear testimonies in another language. I know it has been the week-end but do you feel that the process is moving forward with paperwork? We pray everyday that you all can be rejoined with the rest of your family before Christmas. May the Lord continue to bless you three and bring you home soon and safely.

What a sweet experience! Did Marcelo go to church with you? Did he go to Primary? Did he like it? OH, this is so wonderful! Love you so very much and pray you will be home before Christmas- how does it look?

Hey kids, fun to read both days accounts....I remember being in Australia one Sunday and it showed the English Ward was meeting at a certain time...when I got there it was all Tongan...Like you Jill I understood very little but felt that same spirit regardless of the language. Wherever you go, the love of the Saints will be found.; Great experience. Like your Mom, I am assuming Marcelo went with you...was he one of the 11 Primary Children...was thinking that might be a bit much for him, but the spirit of the little ones is pretty powerful. Enjoy your Sunday evening. The Christmas Broadcast is tonight at 8 PM our time...I suspect you may not get it. :)) Brooklyn is now home...Goes back in on Tuesday for another scope to make sure they are not missing anything. Keep dem updates coming... Love ya's!!! -Big Daddie-

So glad you were able to attend church there and feel the Spirit. In Relief Society today, we were reminded to "Be Still...and know that I am God". Made me think of you guys. :) Laughing that Rich has already been asked to sing. He will leave his mark on Ecuador!
Love you guys.

Would they understand Rich if he sang "Ice, Ice, Baby?"? Have a fun trip this week...Can't wait for the pictures. I took French Dip to your family today. I have an extra roast that I am saving for you, Jill, for when you get home!

Marcelo did go to church with us. He was great during Sacrament meeting and we went to the first half of primary. Both the teachers were gone and they are practicing their program. We missed the broadcast but hope to get it on the internet today or tomorrow. Bryanna, it's warm during the day but the nights it goes down into the 50's and is kind of cool.
