Just to give a little update...We went to the lawyers office and they said that the judge's office door is shut and when it is shut NO ONE goes in or else. So, we walked over and our little brave lawyer ( I just love her) went in her office and pleaded for us. The Judge said there were 4 youth that got arrested and she is dealing with that for us to come back tomorrow.(stinkin youth, as my father in law would say) So we will have our signiture and court day tomorrow. Hopefully, the Judge will not put us off again. Our lawyer said if everything goes good and very fast we all might be on a plane on the 24th..
I'm fasting and praying so hard that miracles will happen and hearts to be softened and that people will work very fast....So, we can wake up with our whole family on Christmas.
I don't even want to think about trying to get tickets at the last minute on Christmas Eve.
I know God's hands are in our lives and I'm letting go and letting him to his "magic" :)
ON another note....Rich and I have been reading our book about bonding and the care of an adopted child. We are learning alot and realize some of the behavor of Marcelo isn't all what we might think...even like going to bed so good (which isn't so good anymore). The guessing comes into play because we don't know his past. I love the gift of the Holy Ghost and how it is guiding us. It is interesting how we are learning about Marcelo, but at the same time learning so much about ourselves. Sometimes that is nice, sometimes not so nice :)
Please pray for us......

I should be fasting!! In fact I am going to start right now, Hope all goes well, the kids say in every prayer that you guys will come home soon, and I believe nothing is stronger than the prayer and faith of children. I am sure things will work out how they need to, yes people may be saying how crazy things are here, but please know every thing is under control and I love being around the kids, they truly are such loving and kind kids. Mom has been a rockstar and I believe the Lord will bless her very much for all she is doing. I believe this experience is good for all involved and teaching us all patience and understanding and love which is pretty much the true meaning of christmas time. Will pray for ya'll! Sure miss ya

So grateful that you have yourselves a "brave" little lawyer. What a blessing for you. We are all praying so hard on your behalf. There is a very positive to all of this: you will not catch the stomach flu that your kids have. :) I know you would probably rather be taking care of them with their flu, than waiting in Ecuador--but there is some good in all of this, huh?? Actually, I know there is alot of good in all of this-it will be the most amazing experience of your lives! Stay strong. You and Rich are so great.

I couldn't help but think of you and Jennifer during Jayme's wedding. It was weird being the oldest sister. I did put your alls names on the prayer roll and ALL your children's names too. We all know this is a trying and blessed time for everyone. Just wanted you to know there are prayers coming your way from holy places too. I am sure you have felt them. Love you all.

Today has been a hectic one --returning wedding reception items we did not use. Please know that fervant prayers are Heavenward that you will ALL be home for Christmas. May the heart of the judge be softened and feel the true spirit of Christ to desire to reunite your family and get this show on the road -- at home!! The wonder of the Christmas lights and all that this Season means brings the feeling of the love and hand of the Lord in the life of each of us. He is mindful of you and knows where you are and the desires of your heart. We pray for His tender mercies for strength at this time. Please send me the Christmas menu so I make sure I buy all you need! I am so grateful Jill's hand is better. Oh, how you are missed and loved! There have been many tears with many emotions- mostly just lots and lots of love. Post some more pictures- I want to see you! Love you to pieces, Mom XOXOXOXO

Good news...maybe not exactly what you were looking for, but the fact the judge said come back tomorrow is good...All I know is do all you can do and like you said Jill, leave it in the hands of The Lord.; Then be willing to accept his reply...Little Brooklyn and Brock and Brittany had a rough weekend. Poor little girl caught this virus or flu and has not been able to hold anything in....Very little sleep for all three...Brittany was told by the doctor to take her to Kosairs and thankful for tender mercies after receiving some blood work and and IV Brittany and Brooklyn were able to go home...now my prayer for them is that all three of them get the rest their poor bodies need. It is amazing how all of these events lead us back to The Lord and brings humility into our lives. We are all truly blessed..I have to admit I have even shed a few tears between worrying about you guys and your health. Brookly, Brock and Brittany, Angies powerful presentation and the miracles in Brian's life, Jayme sacrificing a week to watch kids before her wedding day, family members getting sick, etc. etc....You can just see how the Lord blesses us....not necessarily how we might always want it to be, but you can just feel it...Thanks to all of you for all that you are doing...Rich,Jill,and Marcelo we'll be fasting for you as well as Brock and Brittany and Brooklyn..may we all remain steadfast in all we do...Life is eternal..for that I am grateful to surely know. God Bless. -Big Daddie-

Jill and Rich--I am so glad your attorney is so committed to your desire to be home by Christmas Day. Don't worry so much about Marcelo (I know you will anyway) because he will try to test your love and what he can get away with, just like any kid! I am so jealous that you have a book! I need a book for my kids! You have eternity to be with him...miss you guys. See you soon!
