I am adding the post for yesterday. We are fully moved into a house now and are having a good time being in a home. We thought it would be a lot more quiet than being in a hotel with tons of people watching soccer late at night. Our first night there (Fri. night) there was a bunch of people having a party on the balcony outside our bedroom window. They were playing guitar and bongos and singing until about 6:30 in the morning. The bed is small and hard. Needless to say we didn't sleep great. We miss the conveniences of the hotel like consistent hot water and access to the internet. But we feel it's good for Marcelo to be in a home like environment to help the transition when we get home. Plus we are able to cook food. We have found a couple supermarkets that have a lot of the food we like. Marcelo is a great eater and tries everything.
We went to the Zoo yesterday and saw a bunch of animals we've never seen before. We wrote down their spanish names so we can figure out what they are in English. It was fun and you can get a lot closer to the animals in cages than you can in the US. We also bought him his first pair of new shoes which is a big deal because he still holds on to his original shoes because they bring him comfort. We spent a calm night at home and are getting the hang of it. There is a Christian church of some sort that has had concerts the past couple nights until about 11. They play some heavy rock music. Pretty wild! We've really missed the kids and comforts of home now that we've been gone over a week but are grateful for the one on one Marcelo is getting. It's the only time we have so we're trying to utilize it the best we can. On Monday we are going to a little resort town that everyone says is beautiful so we hope to have some great photos and fun for a couple days. We love and miss you all.
