The difference between boys and girls.....Kiefer burnt his finger on the curling iron. The next day he gets a huge blister on his finger. Rich gets his finger clippers out in the middle of the parking lot at the movies. Rich goes to pop the blister(this is when the girls would scream and cry just at the thought). So, Rich pops the blister and pushes the yucky fluid out and shows Kiefer. Kiefer then says in his most "big boy" voice "AWESOME". We all busted up laughing. So, that is the difference between boys and girls.

After Christmas morning recovery

While the kids were wide awake and playing Jill made a GREAT breakfast. Wrapping paper shrapnel filled the room. By the end we were tired but glad to wear our matching sweaters we had gotten eachother for Christmas (not planned).  It was a great day.

Christmas morning is always fun!  The kids waited "patiently", then we read Luke II before any presents are opened. Then...it's go time. The kids were all grateful and have been playing for 3 days straight. This is when it's really fun to have 6 kids!

Minrath Family Christmas gathering at our house. (Jill's Mom's side of family). Lots of food, family and fun of course was involved. Grandma Minnie is the Matriarch of the family and was moving great just weeks after her hip replacement. Did I mention she's 90 :)

Tonight we got to go to Bryanna's band concert. She plays the Oboe, which is a very difficult instrument. She and one other girl are the only people in the middle school to even play that instrument. She did a great job. We enjoyed watching her. We even had to sacrifice by sitting on the hard, wood, and very uncomfortable bleachers. It was all worth it, Bryanna. We love you.

Reflections of the year 2008

As I look back over my last year from last Christmas to now I am very grateful for the blessed year my family has had.  We have had family gatherings, family visiting us , sports, races, ballet, choir , church activities, family trips, celebrating everyone's birthdays, and even finally feeling that our new house is our home now.
I feel the love and the watchful care of my Heavenly Father over my family and friends. I am very grateful and I am enjoying the gifts the Lord has given me.
I'm grateful to the Christmas Season to be able to focus on my Savior and celebrate Him and His birth.
May God watch over us and our loved ones throughout this season and into the new year whatever it may bring to us.
Merry Christmas!!
